Sadegh received his BSc in Radiology and MSc in Medical Imaging between 2012 and 2019 and was awarded a PhD in Neuroimaging in 2024. He has expertise in advanced MRI physics, techniques, and quantitative neuroimaging analysis. His doctoral research focused on developing multimodal and multiparametric MRI biomarkers, as well as integrating and assessing clinical and cognitive data for ALS, which earned him and the team the 2025 Student Innovation Award from the International Alliance of ALS/MND associations and the BCNC 2024 best thesis award. He also has experience working on other major neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, as well as neuropsychiatric conditions. Currently, his research bridges the gap between ultra-high-field microstructural mapping and macroscopic mechanistic modeling of neurodegeneration. Sadegh aims to integrate quantitative metrics directly into the lab's frameworks.
